Begins January 2026

“On your journey of self-discovery, you’re going to need a map.”

-Abi Robins

The Enneagram of Personality is a dynamic map of human experience, giving us clear direction on how to move from where we are to where we want to be. But a map is only as good as it goes, and the same is true for the Enneagram. The understanding you have of the map is only helpful if it’s applied to the actual territory, and the more you study the territory, the more deeply you understand the map.

In order to to experience the transformational power the Enneagram is pointing to, we must study the map alongside the territory, and take embodied action to actually move towards a deeper experience of who we are.

In Enneagram Expedition: The Conscious Enneagram Cohort for 2026, we will do just that. Through studying the Enneagram, practicing self-observation, and developing spiritual practices and intentional community we will develop the capacity not only to see and digest the reality of who we are right now, but also the willingness and ability to transform ourselves and our lives into who we’re meant to be. The sheer magnitude of transformation can be overwhelming, but through cultivation of our connection to ourselves, our community, Spirit and nature, we will find it possible to surrender to the process and transform our lives and the world around us.

During our time together we will explore the growing tradition of the Enneagram, develop contemplative practices, deepen our understanding of the ways we habitually think, feel, and move through the world, as well as be a part of a conscious community of people who are journeying alongside us.

The Format

This is a closed, year-long community, who we start with in January will be who we walk through the whole journey with. This helps to facilitate deeper community and camaraderie among participants. In order to maintain an experience of closeness and intimacy, this cohort will be capped at 50 participants.

Online Gatherings 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the Month 7-9pm CST, via Zoom (FIRST MEETING JANUARY 1ST!)

We’ll gather online twice a month via zoom to both learn about the Enneagram and share how we are putting it to work in our lives. The first session of the month will be a deep dive on some aspect of the Enneagram with an assignment to self-observe how this aspect is playing out for us in our daily lives. The second session will be focused on sharing our experiences and what’ve we’ve learned through the process of self-observation and our contemplative practices. Recordings will be available for those who can’t attend live.

Additional support, Guest Teacher Sessions, varied days and times, via Zoom

Each quarter there will be at least one “bonus” session presented by a Guest Teacher that will guide us in a practice or share a teaching that supports our goals of living in better alignment with who we are. These will be an hour long and presented via Zoom. The timing will be dictated by the Guest Teacher’s schedule, and recordings will be made available to those who cannot attend during the given day and time.

Weekend Retreat in Austin, October 22nd-25th 2026

This will be optional as travel and lodging will not be provided. This weekend will be focused on building deeper relationships with each other and sharing the joy of our journeys with each other. Our time together will include workshop-style teaching, nature excursions, and shared meals and entertainment.

Weekly Reflection Prompts Via Discord

In order to support our contemplative practices and self-observation between meetings, there will be weekly prompts delivered via Discord. Discord will also serve as a regular check-in and connection space for participants to share their experiences and insights with the group between meetings.

Small Group Reflections/Discussions

In order to facilitate deeper connection within the group, we will divide into small groups which will govern their own regular connections via email, zoom, Marco Polo, Discord, or other social connection app. We’ll have monthly discussion topics for the groups to engage in between full group meetings.

Tools We’ll Use

The Enneagram:

A powerful tool for self-reflection and personal understanding, we will use the Enneagram as a framework for understanding our reactions and responses to what life brings us. You will gain extensive knowledge of the Enneagram and yourself through this cohort. While not required, it is helpful to have an understanding of your type before we begin.

Contemplative Practices:

We will discuss and work with contemplative practices such as Conscious Movement, Breathwork, Meditation, Conscious Lifestyle Adjustments, and many others to help us see more clearly and act more consciously. If the Enneagram is the map, our contemplative practices are the vehicle we need for our journey.

Community:

This work can only be done in the connection provided by conscious, loving community. The format of this cohort is designed up help you develop deep and meaningful relationships with other participants and support each other in the work of becoming who we are all meant to be.

How do we actually “transform” in this work?

There’s always so much talk about the transformational journey that the Enneagram invites us into. But what does it actually look like? How does it work? Does it actually even work at all?

I have been guiding individual clients through this work for the better part of the last decade, and I’ve seen how powerful the enneagram can be, when it’s actually put to work. Sadly, I’ve also seen how damaging and destructive it can be when it’s not. I have learned through my own personal journey and through the grace of working with nearly one hundred different clients over the years how to guide people into the embodied right actions they need to take in order to grow and thrive.

My training and background as a IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist has been the foundation of how I work with people using the Enneagram. If the Enneagram is the map, the tools and practices of Yoga Therapy are the keys to the car we need to actually get to where we want to go. In this cohort, we’ll strategically combine the insights of the Enneagram with the down to earth practices of Yoga Therapy to see real, meaningful, and lasting change in our lives.

Guiding Principles:

“Embrace the ‘Me First’ Attitude.”

When learning about the Enneagram, it’s easy to see those closest to us reflected in the system. It’s also easy to see the work that others need to do in order to grow and develop. In this cohort, though, we will adopt a ‘Me First’ attitude! We are the ones who’ve signed up for the journey, which means it’s our responsibility to grow and change before we expect others to do so. We will practicing taking responsibility for ourselves before deflecting fault or blame on to others. By taking responsibility for ourselves, we will see the situations and other people in our lives more clearly, and then know better how to respond.

“Practice over Perfection.”

As we embark on our journeys, we will undoubtedly be confronted with new ways to thinking, feeling, and being. Just like any other new thing we attempt, we will likely not be great at it right off the bat. In order to move more gracefully into new territory, we will do our best to let go of perfectionism and embrace our stumbling as part of the process. Developing a Practice mindset means we can allow ourselves to let go of the stranglehold our failures have over our lives, observe ourselves non-judgmentally, try something new (or try again), and surrender the outcome.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

No one can do this work alone, it doesn’t happen overnight, and in this cohort we are not interested in large, energy-intensive, heroic actions. We will focus on small, sustainable steps that, over time and with support, will lead to a dramatic change. Each person will discern what actions are right for them in each category and the community will support them in these actions. A singular one-time action has little to no effect on our lives, but consistent, supported right action can transform a person inside and out. Some of us will take many small actions, some will make much larger ones, but all actions will be in alignment with these principles and each individual’s circumstances.

“Love is a better motivator than fear.”

The practice of scathing self-honesty offered to us through the Enneagram can be a lot, but this cohort will not take action from a place of fear or urgency, but will, instead, find that love and care for themselves and those around them to be the main motivation for our action. Through individual reflection, group processing, and contemplative practices we will metabolize and transform the painful reality of our unconscious, habitual patterning into grounded, embodied, and loving action.

“Consciousness Over Convenience.”

So much of the current struggles in our lives come from an over abundance of convenience. We live in a culture that expects everything delivered to our door before we even step outside. As we will see throughout this cohort, convenience comes at a great cost to ourselves and our environment and should be used only as necessary. Convenience as a lifestyle only facilitates a lack of consciousness, and an ever increasing need for more and more convenience.

“Principles over Personalities.”

As we engage in this deep, transformative work, we will undoubtedly step on each other’s toes. This is both the challenge and the magic of community. In this cohort we will practice putting the principles before our personalities working on ourselves while creating space for others to do the same. When conflicts arise we will address them with the intention of serving the highest good of the group. Conscious community offers us the support and the stage we need to practice our new ways of being.

FAQ

Do I have to know anything about the Enneagram to Join?

We will be doing deep dives into the Enneagram throughout this cohort, but more importantly we will be putting what we learn to work in our lives. You do not need to be an expert! While it’s not required to know anything about the Enneagram to join, knowing your type beforehand will be incredibly helpful. If you’d like to join, but are new to the Enneagram, feel free to book a typing interview or one-on-one session with Abi before the cohort starts. Cohort participants receive 10% off typing and coaching services throughout the year.

What is contemplation and contemplative action?

Contemplation is the quiet practice of seeing and understanding oneself and the world through meditation. Contemplative action is action that is informed by and grounded in the practice of contemplation. This kind of action allows us to deeply consider not only ourselves but our greater community and the environment, limiting our negative impact and increasing our positive impact.

So, do I need to have a Yoga or meditation practice to join?

No! But it is expected that you are at least open to starting one. These contemplative practices are a foundational and integral piece of this cohort. Contemplative practices can take many forms, and look different for everyone. In this cohort, we will work together to build and maintain the practices that support each of us in seeing ourselves and the world around us clearly and building the capacity to respond from Presence instead of Personality.
